As a claims administrative support specialist, you'll play a vital role supporting our claims branch offices. In addition to ensuring essential administrative functions run smoothly, you may also interact with customers and medical providers by phone or in person when applicable.

Must-have qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and one year of administrative or clerical support experience

  • Instead of the above, one year of post-secondary education

Preferred skills

  • Proficiency using office equipment

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and quickly switch duties

  • Communication skills with the ability to work in a team-environment

  • Customer service and follow-up skills

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm. Training will be held in the office. After training you'll work a hybrid schedule where you'll alternate weeks working in office and from home. As circumstances change, like the situation with COVID evolves, you'll transition to 100% in office once we are ready to open our offices.

This position will be based in office and is not eligible for work from home at this time.

Job Summary AMI is hiring to support a project-focused Call Center consisting of a social worker along with and Administrative Assistants to monitor a 24/7 call center for inquiries, consultations, and follow up calls from Long-Term Care Facilities and redirect inquiries to resources. The call center staff are essential team members helping triage calls from long-term care facilities in need of COVID-19 outbreak response support or as the first point of contact for enrollment in capacity building efforts. The call center will operate 24/7 for inquiries, consultations, and follow up calls from the Long-Term Care Facilities. The Administrative Assistant will direct calls requiring responses from healthcare specialists. The call center staff are AMI ambassadors with exceptional customer service skills, impeccable attention to detail, and self-motivated team members who communicate across all team members to facilitate attentive service to our client. This is a full-time position for a project with a 19-month period of performance with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities * Direct calls requiring responses from healthcare specialists. * Point of contact for all non-medical questions from patients and their families. * Provide clerical support to the RN assigning patients to the unit medical professionals. * Answer and direct phone calls. * Related tasks as needed. * Provide clerical support to Emergency Response and Capacity Building Teams as required. Qualifications * Minimum High school, GED, or equivalent diploma. * Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail. You pride yourself on juggling multiple competing priorities and not letting anything slip through the cracks. * Ability to handle ambiguous and changing environments with professionalism, learn quickly, and creatively solve new problems. * 1-2 years experience supporting healthcare. * Data Entry or related experience preferred. * Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, Office and other cloud-based software. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a variety of stakeholders including long term care facilities, community members, and AMI clinicians, program managers. * Extremely organized with great attention to detail. * Takes direction well. * Ability to self-manage once given a project. * Ability to act as a team player. * Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
