As a claims administrative support specialist, you'll play a vital role supporting our claims branch offices. In addition to ensuring essential administrative functions run smoothly, you may also interact with customers and medical providers by phone or in person when applicable.

Must-have qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year prior administrative or clerical support experience

Preferred skills

  • Proficiency using office equipment

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and quickly switch duties

  • Communication skills with the ability to work in a team-environment

  • Customer service and follow-up skills

Pay: $35,000

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. This position will be on a rotational WFH/In office schedule based on business needs.

Coordinates the hiring process of administrative support staff, participates in the interview process and makes recommendations for selected candidate. Conducts performance appraisals, counsels and coaches staff. Identifies and provides opportunities for staff training. Develops verbal/written disciplinary actions and implements performance improvement plans. Provides input for employee termination or reassignment if necessary. Approves staff payroll and assures departmental personnel records are accurate while maintaining confidentiality. Conducts regular staff meetings. Maintains knowledge of and acts as primary resource for policies. Oversees all aspects of the Promotion and Tenure process to ensure completion of dossiers by specific deadlines. Leads and/or completes special departmental programs or projects. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years related experience required. Supervisory, workflow coordination experience required. Must have strong computer and communication skills. Organizational skills and project management skills required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Experience creating PowerPoints and working professionally with Excel.
