As a claims adjuster specialist, you'll play a critical role managing attorney represented bodily injury (BI) claims. An ideal candidate will have experience managing an inventory independently, experience assessing and evaluating liability, coverage, and damages, as well as working independently and directly with attorneys to negotiate and settle claims. This is a hybrid role. You'll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you're welcome to work in the office more than four days per month.
Duties & responsibilities
Determines coverage and liability
Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys
Settle claims and set reserves
Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents
Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution
Interview, collect and document information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police
Must-have qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of one year of claims handling experience or experience in the insurance industry
Instead of the above, a combined minimum of five years higher education and work experience, at least one of which must be in claims handling or the insurance industry
Valid driver's license and auto insurance

$60,100 - 71,700/year
Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
