Salary Information
The Senior level position is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $79,269 - $97,448 depending upon qualifications and experience.
The Advanced level position is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $88,296 - $108,950, plus an additional $2,080/year for the Professional Engineer license.
All positions have excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. For permanent positions that allow remote work flexibility, it is not anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because positions may need to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice.
Qualifications
A minimally qualified applicant at the SENIOR level will have the following:
Upon application, candidate must have graduated from an ABET accredited program with a 4-year degree (or Master's or Ph.D.) in civil engineering or a related engineering field OR possess a PE license (registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin) OR possess an EIT (Engineer-in-Training) license OR have documentation from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services that deems the individual a professional engineer and qualified to engage in professional engineering practices.
At least 4 years of professional engineering experience in design, construction or maintenance or transportation projects.
