Position Summary

Civil Engineer Transportation Advanced

  • Statewide Utility Coordination (1 vacancy) - This position performs as an advanced level program facilitator and is the primary technical resource within the Bureau of Technical Services (BTS) for the oversight of the Utility Coordination program from a statewide perspective.

  • Utility Coordination Design and Construction (2 Vacancies) - These positions perform as an advanced level program facilitator and is the primary technical resource for highway construction or design focusing on utility facility placement on roadway facilities that the department is responsible for.

Salary Information

This position is in schedule-range 14-13 with an annual salary of $88,296- $106,808, plus an additional $2,080/year for the Professional Engineer License and excellent benefits.

A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Job Details

Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. For permanent positions that allow remote work flexibility, it is not anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because positions may need to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have the following at the time of application:

  • A valid Professional Engineering registration and be able to obtain a Wisconsin PE registration within 3 months if PE registration is from another state
