Civil Engineer - Municipal Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Chastain & Associates LLC is pleased to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Civil Municipal Project Manager to join our team at our Decatur, IL office.

The selected candidate will be engaged in diverse public or private infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with clients ranging from private entities to municipal, state, and federal authorities. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have United States based experience.

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.E) license in the State of Illinois, or eligibility to obtain. Proven experience as a Project Manager overseeing water and wastewater, land development, and municipal projects Proficiency in departmental and personnel management Familiarity with design and visualization software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, or equivalent Excellent oral and written communication skills, adept at presentations, and a strong team player JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage project life cycles from initiation to completion within allocated budgets. Develop, design, and generate plans, specifications, and estimates for various projects. Interpret specifications and drawings, suggest and document design modifications, and coordinate with the design team.

Conduct on-site investigations, perform technical and feasibility studies, assess materials, and gather data and calculations across various domains including traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structural design. Monitor projects for potential risks, material usage, and costs, promptly reporting any deficiencies or issues for swift resolution. Ensure Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects, adhering to Chastain's commitment to delivering superior service to clients.

Adhere to guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety protocols, and deliver technical files and documentation as required. Collaborate with colleagues and support other departments within Chastain with project needs. Manage client relationships and actively contribute to new business development efforts.
