Structural Civil EngineerAs a Structural Civil Engineer working with a wide range of clients, perform structural analyses and designs of solids storage structures, such as bins, silos, bunkers and pressure vessels according to applicable and current codes and standards. This includes

Conducting stress and fatigue analyses as well as investigation of structural failures
Preparing structural design calculations, detailed reports, and proposals
Occasionally visiting domestic and international plant sites to conduct structural inspections and construction/installation supervisions

This is an on-site position with hybrid option. Preferred location is northern MA but possible offices are also in Houston TX and San Luis Obispo CA.Required Skills and Abilities

Familiarity with ACI, ASCE, AISC and AWS Codes and Standards
Working/basic knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Working knowledge of structural analysis design software such as RISA, Compress, ANSYS, etc. FEA experience is a plus.
Excellent design and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of bulk solids handling operations including silo structure behavior is desirable but not essential.
Candidate must be comfortable dealing with clients and possess excellent communication and report writing skills.

Education & Experience:

Civil Engineering degree with a solid Structural design foundation. Advanced degree is preferred
Minimum of 5 (five) years of industrial design experience in steel, reinforced concrete and aluminum structures.
