Civil Engineer Entry Level - Water Resources

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named a "Zweig Group's "Best Firms to Work For." is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals is actively seeking to add a 0-4-year entry-level Civil Engineer to our Water Resources Team. This role will support all levels of staff within the team while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Working toward attaining an Illinois Professional Engineer license

• Work on conventional, unique, and complex projects

• Involvement in sanitary sewer systems, water distribution, water & wastewater treatment plant design, and storm water management

• Collaborate with teams of varying sizes across multiple offices depending on the size and scope of the project

• Manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects

• Work in a fast-paced learning environment

• Take the initiative to interact with team members located in other CMT offices

Position Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering is required

• Previous engineering experience, or internship experience, is preferred

• Registered Engineer Intern that has passed the FE exam or is taking steps to become a certified Engineer Intern.

• Experience using drafting software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Revit is preferred

• Experience with other design and analysis software tools will be recognized in the evaluation process

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects, work in an environment to learn quickly, take initiative, and interact with a variety of people.

• Valid driver's license
