Columbia Engineering is actively seeking a talented Civil Engineer. You will work with a team of engineers to perform work on various projects.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Preparing construction plans for projects involving storm pipe, culverts, water and sewer lines, spillways, and more
Grading, drainage calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Creating roadway drainage plans
Site layout, plan development, grading, details, and erosion control design for parks
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
Min 2 years of related experience
Computer knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
Experience with the following software:
Autodesk Civil 3D
ArcMap or other GIS software
SWMM based models
Microstation/Inroads/Openroads
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Working in a team environment to complete projects in budget and on schedule
Knowledge of applicable health and safety and environmental requirements
Can perform critical thinking tasks accurately and efficiently
Balance multiple project workloads and deadlines (time management skills)
Willingness to work collaboratively as a valued member of the team to serve our clients both internal and external
Ability to work semi-autonomously/remotely and still be productive
