The Engineer will work on construction and maintenance projects related to airfield concrete and asphalt pavement.
Projects could include future runway construction, existing runway and taxiway rehabilitation, upgrades to existing concrete and asphalt pavement, and infrastructure projects at DEN.
Responsibilitiesof this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs intermediate level professional aviation engineering work involving airport projects or programs.
Identifies, designs, plans, develops, coordinates, and manages design, construction, and/or maintenance for engineering projects related to the airfield.
This includes work on runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, and other infrastructure projects.
Collaborates with DEN departments, FAA, Airlines, and other airport teams to ensure project success.
Maintains and communicates project details, such as schedule and budget information, to management and DEN stakeholders.
Participation in DEN's snow programas required.
May perform lead work or supervision over technical or clerical employees or contractors.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree in Engineering.
Four (4) years experience as an entry level Engineer.
No substitution of experience for education is permitted.
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience requirements.
Colorado Class "R" Driver's License by the completion of probation.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) by the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers at the time of application.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) by another state will be accepted in lieu of this requirement providing the applicant is registered by the State of Colorado by the completion of the probationary period.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
