Our San Francisco office is looking for a Civil Engineer to contribute to a variety of exciting land development and civil infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be a talented and resourceful engineer who will be responsible for the design and production of site plans and construction documents.

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering a Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.

  • Your PE license.

  • 2-4 years of experience on land development and/or transportation projects.

  • Strong utility, roadway and/or storm drainage design experience, including Infoworks, StormNET or other hydraulic design software.

  • Excellent Civil 3D, Microstation, SketchUp, Photoshop and/or other design software skills.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate for an exciting full-time permanent position within the Division of Dam Safety and Inspections of the Office of Energy Projects. The position is located in the San Francisco Regional Office. The incumbent will work as a civil engineer and must be knowledgeable in the investigation, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of dams and hydroelectric power facilites, applying one or more of the following disciplines of civil engineering to the investigation, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of dams and hydroelectric power facilities: structural, hydrologic, geotechnical and/or engineering geology. Assignments may require substantial travel and can involve hiking in mountainous terrain, climbing steeply inclined faces of dams, and descending into dam galleries, penstocks, and tunnels. The ability to communicate effectively with others is also important. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission assists consumers in obtaining reliable, efficient and sustainable energy services at a reasonable cost through appropriate regulatory and market means.
