Civil Drafter

Description:

Our client is a top multidisciplinary engineering firm who is currently hiring a Civil Drafter/Designer to join their site development teams in both their Bowie, MD and Hunt Valley, MD offices! This is a long-term, full time opportunities with a ton of growth potential within the civil engineering industry. Day to day responsibilities include:

• Design all aspects of engineering projects to include layout, grading, earthwork, storm drain, septic, sanitary sewer, water, storm water management, and erosion/sediment control

• Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions

• Prepare agency design submission packages for agency reviews and approvals

• Participate with permitting and the completion of as-constructed/as-built drawings

• Interpret and apply all applicable federal, state and/or local codes

• Draft technical specifications

• Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings

Top Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-3+ years of relevant design experience in the site-civil engineering field

• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D software

• Experience/familiarity with site development projects (land development, sediment and erosion control, stormwater management, site grading, layouts, etc.)

• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
