Civil Design Engineer

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS

• Land Development

• Civil plan creation and production

• Experience with site grading, drainage, storm water management

• Prepare construction drawings for site grading, drainage, and storm water management for land development projects

• Civil Designer with 3-5 years of experience designing using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ever changing because it is a small firm, and the daily responsibilities change

• Take projects from start to finish

• Boundary, topography, design, drafting

• Will be working on one project at a time

• Come into the office and get a project, open the job folder and do their research, have a pre-project meeting, and then take the project and run with it

Top Skills' Details

• MUST HAVE:

• Hillside Grading and drainage experience

• Storm water management experience

• Understand grading ordnances for County of San Diego (county of San Diego standards and grading practices), overall familiarity with land development in San Diego County

• Proficient experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2020

• 3-5 years of experience

• Grading

NICE TO HAVE:

• EIT

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering

• Previous experience with topography and land boundaries, how lots are created and developed

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

EDUCATION

• College Degree not required

CERTS

• EIT is plus

YEARS OF EXP

• 3-5 years of experience
