Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.Job DescriptionThe Civil CAD Technician III is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining engineering drawings, incorporating redlines and field markups into drawings, and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all data. The Civil CAD Technician III will have an advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Reports to: Senior Vice President with direct supervision from Senior Designer.Duties and Responsibilities * Work with Senior Designer/CAD Manager to create base maps, drawings, and designs for residential and commercial projects, including:o Drawing setup for preliminary and construction plan sets, including sheet layout, setup of both model space and paper space, and managing xrefs.o Incorporate redlines provided by Project Managers.o Create preliminary and construction plan sets, including:*

Preliminary plat plans * Horizontal control plans * Grading plans * Erosion control plans * Drainage plans * Sewer plans * Water plans * Details and notes * Proposed and existing road profiles and sections * Profile existing and proposed utilities * Produce drawing packages for submittals. * Setup and maintain styles and standards for Civil 3D. * Work closely with Project Managers. * Administrate company CAD standards. * Manage detail libraries including creating, modifying, and cataloging current and new company details. * Jurisdictional research of standard plans, notes, and details. * Responsible for maintaining organization of all project files. * Assist with quality assurance and quality control of graphics and CAD engineering plans.Skills and Specifications * Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. * Ability to perform civil engineering drafting such as site layout, grading, erosion control, road profiles, utility plans, etc. with direction of Project Managers and Senior Designer/CAD Manager. * Knowledge of municipal and state design standards. * Has the ability to take high quality notes and organize information.Attributes * Possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * High-level proficiency in computer software program related activities. * Self-motivated, hardworking, highly ethical, and dependable employment. * Possess excellent rapport with management and co-workers, positive can-do attitude, excellent customer service, marketing, and people skills. * Has the ability to handle a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. * Detail-oriented, organized, multi-tasking and good follow-through skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. * Excellent stress management and time management skills. * Ability to work discreetly with sensitive and confidential information.Education, Experience, Qualifications * Associates' degree or technical certification in a relevant field such as architectural, engineering, surveying or construction management, or experience considered sufficient to address the demands of the position. * Civil 3D experience required. * Minimum 7+ years' experience utilizing CAD with increasing responsibility. * Minimum 4+ years' experience in civil engineering field. * Experience working with local municipalities including King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties a plus.Physical Considerations * Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as personal computer, printer, copy machine, and telephone. * Ability to perform repetitive, finer hand and arm movements. * Work activities involve combination of sitting for longer periods and intermittent standing/walking.This position description is not intended as a complete list of job duties, responsibilities, and/or essential functions.
