SummaryThe Cisco Solutions Architect is responsible for providing technical design, scoping, and knowledge during the entire lifecycle of the solution sale and works closely with the account team to ensure technical accuracy of the solution design. This role will collaborate with Professional Services engineers in designing new digital infrastructure (enterprise networking, cybersecurity, datacenter, and cloud).


  • Serves as the subject matter expert in Cisco Digital Infrastructure Solutions. Technical experience and expertise with Cisco routing and switching, wireless, datacenter and cybersecurity technologies required

  • Designs, builds, sells and delivers world-class cloud, managed and hosted services

  • Ensures profitability, growth, and direction of C1 cloud projects

  • Drives account strategy, acts as deal "quarterback" working with cross functional teams

  • Coordinates sales training and marketing efforts within C1 and to customers

  • Builds high performing cross functional teams

  • Leads team activities and is in continuous alignment with the Finance and operations teams to ensure proposals and scopes of work are accurately prepared, tracked and managed

  • Manages incoming work streams, prioritizes team work assignments, and ensures commitments are consistently achieved in alignment with sales process

  • Aligns technical training opportunities with project roadmap and architectural and compliance needs

  • Remains aware of new technologies and evaluate the need to make changes in organizational offerin


Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, IT, finance or experience and educational equivalent

  • Eight to ten years of hosted and cloud sales and leadership management experience

  • Well networked, proven successful track record, collaborative work style, and consultative selling experience

  • Direct budget responsibility (P& L) may be required

  • Ability to manage and track sales pipeline

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure solutions (collaboration, enterprise networking, data solutions and security products and service) and a strong services orientation

  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills are essential

  • Demonstrated sales ability and technical aptitude

  • Leadership and coaching experience

  • CCNP or equivalent

  • BA or BS Degree, preferably a technical degree (or equivalent)

  • Demonstrated experience successfully selling Cloud based UC and CC solutions

  • Strong multi-level relationship management, persuasion and influencing skills

This role is responsible for working with internal and external sales teams to plan and organize sales strategies. The incumbent analyzes the sales environment including customer expectations, competitive environment as well as the customer's technical environment and define actions to be performed in the sales cycle timeframe. The Specialized Presales Engineer -Cisco Multi-Cloud develops and maintains strategic relationships with Sales Management of the teams they support and seen as a trusted advisor to grow business. The SPE-Cisco Multi-Cloud is expected to be subject matter expert in the Cisco Multi-Cloud portfolio of Solutions, including but not limited to AppD, Intersight, Cloud Center and Tetration. The Specialized Presales Engineer -Cisco Multi-Cloud is responsible for driving a variety of initiatives and projects, coaches and/or mentors others FSAs; and strategically works with sales, partners and customers to uncover and increase emerging business opportunities. The Specialized Presales Engineer -Cisco Multi-Cloud takes a lead role in defining, developing, and supporting solutions and new technologies; prepares the team to be successful through proactive training, sharing knowledge, and communicating best practices.
