Job Description:

This position is designed to generate design layout records for customer requested orders and various internal network orders. The DLR's will be completed with the most optimum design utilizing our existing network and available technologies. In addition to design, the customer circuits are built and tested on the network to ensure a seamless conversion for the customer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support day to day tasks of business, Internal Management Networks, and Corporate network

  • Generate the Design Layout Records, on a per order basis, for both Cable and fiber facilities necessary to achieve the successful completion of each provisioning work order

  • Build and test circuits across network

  • Work with Network Optimization, Network Planning, IP Engineering, Network Provisioning and other engineering groups to ensure high quality designs

  • Recommend technical solutions specific to product requirements and strategy

  • Ensure reliability and network diversity by taking into account load and balance of new and existing facilities

  • Maintain accurate circuit record database

  • Utilize and assign network facilities and equipment using network inventory system.

  • Provide support to resolve complex circuit provisioning problems

  • Ensure continuous quality improvement and reduced cycle times for design completion.

  • Manage work queues as well as to prevent delinquent tasks and resolution

  • Assist with technical questions/resolutions from other WOW colleagues

  • Coordinate own responsibilities with those of other team members so no order is delayed

  • Assess problems, research alternatives and pursue acceptable solutions while remaining within Company guidelines

  • Complete complex and non-complex orders across the footprint

  • Alert management to revenue affecting road blocks.

  • All other duties as assigned

High school diploma and equivalent work related experience

  • Previous experience routing circuits in an inventory system

  • Previous Data provisioning experience

  • Experience with WOW! network or related service delivery group

Computer Skills:

Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software, Internet software and e-mail. Ability to learn new software systems and access online support/tools.
