  • Identifies and appropriately mitigates different types of risk, such as regulatory, reputational, operational and credit. Manages risk and may help ensure quality for new and/or existing clients. May assist in the preparation of offerings and/or scorecards.

  • Analyzes information and applies critical thinking skills to design and/or execute client solutions. This may include taking a transaction from request to booking and/or moving a selling conversation from proposal to closed business, inclusive of driving fee income through internal and/or external relationship management. Identifies and/or considers key factors in the decision-making process, such as internal policies/procedures, external regulatory requirements and clients' needs.

  • Interacts with internal/external clients to gather or clarify information and/or expand existing client relationships to develop skills needed to independently generate revenue and deepen share of wallet. Articulates recommendations to customers in response to client servicing and product-related inquiries.

  • As defined with the business, demonstrates ability to analyze, evaluate and mitigate credit risk by utilizing knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal credit policies.

  • Participates in social learning, for example, identifies and networks with business representatives and peers and participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach, to ensure appropriate foundations in credit, product and sales. May participate in formal learning recommended by the business to develop the skills needed to analyze, evaluate and mitigate credit risk by utilizing knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal credit policies.

VIEW JOBS 4/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-17T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE The DC Transportation Manager is responsible for managing the outbound deliveries to stores within the service region and ensuring that on time deliveries are made to the stores and are within budget. The DC Transportation Manager will manage yard operations, coordinate back haul program and provide leadership to transportation team. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * 25% Manage carrier relationships and planning function to ensure timely deliveries to stores while ensuring cube utilization; manage inbound deliveries to ensure on time, on cycle and lead time; manage inbound deliveries to ensure product is available for delivery to stores; manage outbound to minimize expedites; communicate daily with carriers to ensure on time compliance. * 25% Manage cost of transportation; manage cost per truckload, cube per truckload, and cost per mile; support overall financial goals; fully utilize transportation assets to reduce freight costs whenever possible; audit invoices of carriers on regular basis; review general ledger for all charges dealing with transportation. * 20% Drive Customer Service; develop customer service team; manage customer service associates and store concerns from phone calls and Infodock. * 15% Financial and Operations Metrics development and reporting. * 15% Maintain accurate operation of the yard integrity, dock, security, yard switchers and pallet recycling. NATURE AND SCOPE Reports to DC General Manager I/II. Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Responsible for personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates. Position may have direct reports depending on location. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Additional Minimum Qualifications: Must be open to relocation. Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED. Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years Physical Requirements: Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Additional Qualifications: Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to be on-call at various times. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Must be open to relocation.
