Position: Chorus Teacher

Location: 287 East 10th St. New York, NY 10009

Salary Range: $25.00 per hour

Hours: 10 hrs. per week

Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Reporting to the Clubhouse Director, the Chorus Teacher is responsible for on-site program delivery which is set in either one-on-one or group sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Teach half hour sessions per working day scheduled (Some one-on-one, some small group sessions)

  • Record Annual Pre and Post Observations

  • Keep Attendance Records (Parent outreach when needed)

  • Work in small groups for end of season performances

  • Care of equipment in State-of-the-Art studios

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a group of 10-21 boys (ages 7-9 or 10-12)

Qualifications

Education and teaching experience in the instrument you are applying for. Professional Musicians with performing experience preferred. Previous experience in youth development, education, or after-school.

He/ She will assist in the guidance, supervision, and safety of members, while participating in activities alongside members to ensure encouragement and support.
