Duties
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to teach a choir class with the intention of growing the program. In addition, the right candidate will join the department as a Fine Arts Department Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to the Speech, Theatre, Band, Choir and Art programs by helping to ensure the smooth operation of departmental
activities and productions.
Responsibilities:
? Plan for and teach the fundamentals of choir, while growing course numbers.
? Work with the campus minister on liturgical music planning for all school mass.
? Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment that encourages collaboration, growth,
and mutual respect among colleagues and students.
? Act as a liaison between the director and various stakeholders, including students, parents,
faculty, and the community. This could involve drafting and sending emails, making phone
calls, and responding to inquiries.
? Assist with the creation, editing, and distribution of rehearsal schedules, programs,
permission forms, and other documents related to productions and events.
? Help manage the budget for the various fine art departments, including tracking expenses,
processing invoices, and seeking approval for purchases.
? Arrange transportation, lodging, and other logistics for trips, competitions, and
performances. This might involve coordinating with transportation providers, securing
accommodations, and ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.
? Perform various administrative duties, such as maintaining records, filing paperwork,
organizing files, managing databases, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
? Provide support to students involved in Fine Arts activities, including helping them with
scheduling, providing information about auditions and opportunities, and offering general
guidance and encouragement.
Qualifications
related subject.
? Prior experience working with high school fine arts programs with a demonstrated
understanding of the arts.
? Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey
complex concepts in an understandable manner.
? The ability to effectively manage schedules, coordinate logistics, and maintain accurate
records is essential for this role. A detail-oriented approach and the capacity to handle
multiple tasks simultaneously are crucial for success.
? The ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines is
essential in a dynamic environment like a high school Fine Arts department. Flexibility to
work occasional evenings and weekends to support rehearsals, performances, and events is
necessary for this role.
? Have knowledge of Catholic liturgical music.
