Internal Posting Dates: June 3, 2024-June 8, 2024 Pay Range: $15.50-$23.26 CHMC # Groundskeeper# Per Diem- Day Shift- Primary Shift 7a-3p# Requisition 7518 The Groundskeeper/Painter performs a variety of duties to maintain the appearance and condition of the hospital physical environment to include interior building components, grounds, and landscaping. Performs routine painting and related tasks to maintain the condition and appearance of the hospital.

Assist Maintenance Mechanics performing general maintenance throughout the hospital and areas as directed. This position generally performs work in the hospital interior and exterior in various weather conditions. Tasks involve standing, using both hands in operations, climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, and intermittent carrying of equipment.

Strenuous physical exertion is sometimes required when handling heavy and bulky materials. Position requires lifting and moving materials up to 40 lbs., unassisted, and occasionally lifts or moves heavier items with the assistance of lifting devices and/or other workers. Employee is exposed to moderate or high noise levels from operation machinery, hot and cold weather, etc., as well as a hospital environment where there is a possible exposure to infectious diseases. REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities Management EDUCATION: Required: High school diploma or GED Preferred: Associate#s Degree in Building Maintenance or related field and/or completion of a technical school program
