Overview

Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Children's Therapist to run our intensive outpatient program (IOP). This individual will be providing out patient counseling services to children and their families, at our 27th Avenue location. The ideal individual will possess at least one year of experience practicing as a licensed behavioral health professional, and will need to be professional, friendly, a self-starter, organized, and compassionate.

Responsibilities

Responsible for intakes, assessments, treatment and discharge planning, individual, family and group counseling, and family support services and case management. This position charts progress, maintains clinical records and ensures implementation of treatment and discharge plans. Monitors and follows up on client needs, does re-assessments as required or as needed, and submits weekly and monthly service reports as required or needed. Coordinates services as necessary working in collaboration with various State, Federal, and local agencies. Provides oversight to Behavioral Health Technicians and paraprofessionals as required.

May sign off on non-licensed staff's work (Due to licensure).

  • Provides client-centered outpatient clinical services to individuals/ families using evidenced based practices.

  • Adheres to program guidelines.

  • Participates effectively as a member of a team in assisting eligible individuals and families meet their needs.

Therapy services are primarily provided in an office setting, other case management tasks are provided in the community including schools, homes, and placements. Some travel may be required.

Shift Hours:

Monday 9:00 am

  • 6:00 pm

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 11:00am

  • 8:00pm

Friday 8:00 am

  • 5:00 pm.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family, or relating field

  • 1 year of experience practicing in one of the licenses listed below:

  • Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT)

  • Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)

  • Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC)

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

  • Licensed marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Strongly Preferred

  • Independent License by the AZ State Board of Behavioral Health Examiner:
  • Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC)
  • Strongly Preferred
  • Bilingual (differential pay available)
  • Preferred
  • Training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
  • Preferred
  • Supervisory experience with the ability to conduct clinical chart reviews and provide clinical consultation to staff.
  • Preferred
  • EMDR Trained
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 7 working days of employment.

  • Current certificate to perform CPR and First Aid for Children and Adults

  • Microsoft Word and EMR

  • Must have or obtain a valid Arizona Driver License, be 21 years of age with a minimum 3 years driving experience. Must meet requirements of Terros driving policy.

Terros Health offers an excellent benefit package including, but not limited to: * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Group life and disability insurance * Employer matched 401(k) * Generous PTO/paid sick leave (4+ weeks in year 1) * Wellness and employee assistance plan Responsibilities The Children's Case Manager under the Agency's policies and professional requirements, participates as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team. * Manages those identified clients who receive medication only, and assists with their treatment coordination, including but not limited to 6-month and annual assessments, and hospital admissions and discharges. * They will also serve those children who are involved with the Department of Child Safety who are not receiving other behavioral health services. * Completes intakes as required by site needs, and assists teammates with case coordination for additional referrals, including but not limited to referrals for HNCM, behavior coaching, and OOH packets or referrals for psychological evaluations. Communicates and documents client progress toward their family vision and treatment goals. * This is a direct service position with opportunities to provide in-office and in-home family support and case management services. Works under the direct supervision of the Children's Clinical Manager. Required bilingual Spanish/English and travel in the west valley. Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm $ Bilingual language differential pay Qualifications Education/Experience: * GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health (BH) experience working with children, or * Associate degree in the BH field, or Bachelor's degree in BH field, or Bachelor's degree in non-behavioral health field with 1 year minimum of BH experience working with children, or * Master's degree or higher in behavioral health field. * Bilingual required - English/Spanish. * Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 7 working days of employment. * Must have or obtain a valid Arizona Driver License, be 21 years of age with a minimum 3 years driving experience.
