Program Summary: St. David's Center specializes in early childhood mental health and serves children and families with developmental delays and disabilities, physical challenges, medical complications, attention deficit disorders and emotional/behavioral disturbances. Our Mental Health Services integrate with all the programs offered at St. David's Center so that we can provide each family with the most comprehensive support.

Position Overview:The Outpatient Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing psychotherapy to children and families in our outpatient clinic. Therapists work closely with other professionals to provide families with services that are consistent with the goals of the program and mission of the organization. Therapeutic and consultative services are relationship-based and are informed by theories of individual, group, and institutional development as well as infant and early childhood mental health.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide direct therapeutic services to families thought outpatient sessions and provide direct services to children and families, including individual and classroom based therapeutic services, playgroups, and family therapy.

  • Coordinate services between agency and community service providers.

  • Develop a treatment plan with client, parents, and guardians to establish measurable goals, interventions, and desired outcomes.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F

Pay: DOQ. This position is benefits eligible, including eligibility for loan forgiveness!

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology

  • Full licensure/credentialing i.e. LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC

  • Ability to be credentialed without restrictions by all insurance companies

  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to engage in program outreach activities and to maintain high level of professionalism

  • Knowledge of: Family Systems, Child Development, Developmental Psychopathology, Attachment Theory, Developmental Disabilities, Child Abuse, Neglect and Trauma, DC:0-5 diagnostic categories

  • Knowledge of school readiness issues and strategies for supporting families at risk

Preferred:

  • 3-5 Years post-master's experience with clinical experience working with young children and families

Staff members work with clients on individualized treatment goals that focus on their unique emotional and behavioral needs. Position Overview: We are now hiring a Mental Health Practitioner for our IFMH program. This position is responsible for the provision of clinical services to children/youth and families under the supervision of a licensed Mental Health Professional. Services include a combination of diagnostic assessment, individual and family psychotherapy, mental health skills training, family psychoeducation and clinical care consultation. This position frequently travels across the Twin Cities Metro area. Responsibilities: * Provide services appropriate to meet clients mentally health needs such as skills training, psychotherapy, family psychoeducation, crisis assistance, and/or clinical care consultation. * Provide CTSS or ITFC services that facilitate the acquisition of psychosocial skills that are medically necessary to rehabilitate a child. * Complete client records and service entries within Evolv (EMR) in a timely manner. * Complete diagnostic assessments of client's mental health * Report regularly on evaluation outcome measures.
