Child Youth & Family Outpatient Clinician

Our team of dedicated professionals works closely with each child and their families to address their emotional and behavioral challenges. We actively involve parents, family members, caregivers, schools, and other supports in a holistic, strengths based,trauma informed therapeutic approach.

We are seeking dynamic, talented licensed and license eligible clinicians to provide clinical services in our Child, Youth and Family Center in Jamaica Plain.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient mental health/substance abuse services to youth as assigned. Work with youth who have an identified sexual abuse trauma history and their caregivers.

  • Responsible for scheduling appointments with youth, initiating outreach to youth for whom treatment has been interrupted, and for documenting all outreach attempts in the clinical record.

  • Responsible for serving as the HUB for cases designated within CBHI services. Serve as a member of the youth's treatment team, attending meetings and providing necessary documentation.

  • Provide crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluation and treatment services utilizing a variety of evidence based treatment modalities such as ARC, DBT and trauma based models as clinically indicated.

  • Establish effective working relationships with youth and family and develop interventions which best address problems. Implement focused treatment plans that identify measurable goals and time frames for completion.

  • Meet established productivity target. Enter all documentation and billing requirements into the electronic medical record within established deadlines.

  • Update and maintain client's electronic medical record in accordance to contract specifications.

  • Obtain and maintain proper insurance authorization for client service coverage.

  • Collaborate with relevant collaterals such as referring agencies, schools, primary care physicians, family members and/or other Eliot programs to ensure coordination of care in accordance with Agency policy and applicable laws pertaining to client confidentiality.

Requirements

Master's degree from an accredited university/college in a third party reimbursable field or independently licensed as a LICSW, LMHC or LMFT. Specialty training in sexual abuse intervention and treatment desired. Computer literacy and skill in the use ofcomputers and related software applications. Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialing requirements. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work and for providing services in the community. Musthave reliable telephone notification system for emergency contact.

Responsibilities: Provide in-home, therapeutic interventions including individual, parent/child, and family systems solution-focused treatment. Conduct a comprehensive bio-psychosocial needs assessment for the child or adolescent and their family, which responds to the diversity of the individuals and families served. Take the lead in the development of a strength-based treatment plan and safety plan. Such plans will include behavior modification therapy and crisis intervention to determineways to best defuse a situation without necessarily moving a child and linkage to needed supportive services. Provide emergency response and intensive outreach to families in order to assist them in stabilizing children and adolescents within their home during a psychiatric crisis. Be flexible with work schedule to accommodate the needs of the families during evenings and weekends. Meet established productivity target. Collaborate with Emergency Services as needed, regarding clinical alerts or crisis response plans. Able to utilize innovative, evidence-based techniques and motivational counseling to inspire families and to increase treatment plan compliance. Guide the delivery of services, formulate treatment, and communicate regularly with the IHT Therapeutic Training and Support Worker concerning on-going client/family needsand progress. Coordinate treatment planning and aftercare services with other treatment providers, so as not to duplicate services and to foster seamless and consistent support. Participate in an inter-agency Systems of Care Service Plan with involved state agencies, outpatient therapists, court personnel, primary care providers, educational advocates,and others involved with the family, when indicated. Attend discharge planning meetings for any referral from a hospital inpatient unit or CBAT program. Schedule: Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday. Hours vary from 10-6 to 11-7. Pay rate: 42,000 annually Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work, or related field, or independently licensed as a LICSW or LMHC, with relevant community-based social service work with parents and children.
