Managing Director of Bridging Families Institute

Location: Western NC, with statewide travel. Position allows for hybrid or remote office, but must be able to travel to all Crossnore campuses (Avery County, Hendersonville and Winston-Salem) as well as other locations throughout NC

Join our team as the Managing Director of the Bridging Families Institute at Crossnore Communities for Children! This senior leadership role will shape the future of our Bridging Families program, driving its development, implementation, and evaluation across North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a robust background in clinical, child welfare, or non-profit settings to lead and innovate.

Hiring Range: $108,000 - $140,000 annually

Education

  • A master's-level fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), fully Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), fully Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), fully Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Terminal degree in clinical or related field highly desired

  • MBA or Project management certification a plus

  • Specialized training in program evaluation a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years upper-management leadership experience in a clinical, child welfare, or non-profit setting mentoring and developing staff.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with children and families in a mental health or child welfare setting ideally in a leadership or management role.

  • Experience with designing program frameworks, workflows, and clinical/program protocols.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing program initiatives.

  • Experience with strategic planning and setting/meeting program goals and objectives through actional plans.

  • Experience with the NC Foster Care and Child Welfare System.

  • Experience providing clinical supervision to clinicians is highly preferred.

  • Experience managing budget expenditures and revenue projections.

  • Demonstrated writing proficiency; publication of written material a plus.

  • Proven ability to innovate, think outside the box, and strategically solve complex problems.

Licensure/Certifications

  • Must meet one of the following active licensed discipline categories: Physician or Psychiatrist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist (Doctorate Level), Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor.

  • Certification in at least two EBPs highly preferred (i.e. TF-CBT, EMDR, CBT, DBT, etc.)

  • Project management certification a plus

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Oversight & Operations:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Bridging Families Institute.

  • Oversee daily operations and tactical execution of the consulting team across NC and the Bridging Families program throughout Crossnore's regions.

  • Ensure programs meet the highest standards of clinical practice and child welfare policy.

Personnel Management:

  • Oversee recruitment, evaluation, and training of staff.

  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Strategic Planning:

  • Work with CPO and CEO to set strategic goals and develop comprehensive plans.

  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Program Evaluation:

  • Implement robust evaluation frameworks to measure program outcomes.

  • Use data to inform strategic decisions and program improvements.

Policy & Compliance:

  • Establish and oversee program policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and accreditation standards.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage budget and financial responsibilities.

  • Prepare annual operating budgets and review financial statements.

Community Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders.

  • Represent the agency in various meetings and events.

Training & Development:

  • Provide training for internal staff and external partners.

  • Oversee the creation of training materials and ongoing consultation for partner agencies.
