Primary Duties Include (In Part)

  • Assist in the development and delivery of approved training to newly hired and existing child support staff, as well as supporting District Attorney partners and tribal personnel with training needs.

  • Coordinate efforts with the Program Education Team to maintain current and effective materials and techniques by providing feedback on content and student experience. Assist with assessments of program learners and overall analysis of program education efforts.

  • Attend train-the-trainer sessions and provide the technical training to local child support program staff.

  • Research issues, develop options, and draft recommendations for program work efforts as assigned.

  • Maintain knowledge of the training material, including case management duties necessary to train establishment and enforcement of paternity and child support orders, including interstate actions, case review, documentation, and other areas of program functionality.

  • Act as a technical expert for program and local partners, by researching and answering complex technical questions, which may be precedent setting, in a collaborative format.

  • Provide local and program support as a technical expert while training or developing educational materials on Child Support Program actions and Origin functionality.

  • Provide direction and technical assistance to program staff on resolving unusual or complex cases.

  • Research and develop options for improved services.

  • Identify program issues to be addressed by legislation or rule/policy changes. Survey program participants and child support partners to gather program information and make recommendations for program or policy changes.

  • Assist managers with routine work and projects as needed.

  • Review work of staff for conformance of established standards of performance and provide assessment of worker's performance to the manager.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Four years of experience as a Child Support Case Manager;

OR

  • A Bachelor's Degree, plus one year of experience as a journey level Child Support Case Manager;

OR

  • One year of experience as a journey level child support case manager AND three additional years of either:

a) Technical or professional child support program experience,

OR

b) College level education in a field of study sufficient to represent the Child Support Program in either liaison, outreach, technical resource, training, or procedure writing.

Work experience is based on a 40-hour work week. (Example: 20 hours a week for one year would equal six-months of work experience.)

AND

  • Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check. A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges. Adverse findings will be evaluated to determine eligibility for the position.
