The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Child Support Services Division (CSSD).

The Child Support Services Division (CSSD) seeks to diligently pursue and ultimately achieve financial and medical support of children by establishing, enforcing, and increasing public awareness of parental obligations. The Child Support Investigator Supervisor position provides staff supervision and development to a team of Child Support Investigators, casework oversight and management, and assists with the development and implementation of CSSD Policies.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

  • Knowledge of investigative principles, due process, administrative and judicial process.

  • Knowledge of general collections principles and social service programs.

  • Ability to analyze information, make decisions, and solve problems.

  • Meet minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, criminal justice, social work, psychology, or related field.

  • Five years of job-related direct experience in child support casework including three years of investigative experience.

  • Two years of supervisory experience.

  • Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Additional Information

This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.

As a condition of employment, you will be subject to successfully passing an FBI fingerprint check every 5 years.
