POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated Child Psychiatrist to join our team specializing in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Therapy for children and adolescents. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to patients in these settings. Additionally, the Child Psychiatrist will oversee a team of nurse practitioners, providing supervision and guidance, while also maintaining a caseload of patients for direct assessment and treatment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient therapy programs as well as patients in outpatient psychiatric treatment.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including psychotherapy and medication management, to support patients' mental health and well-being.
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Supervise and mentor nurse practitioners, providing clinical guidance, support, and oversight.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic medical records.

QUALIFICATIONS
Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine and board eligible or certified in child psychiatry.
Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Prior experience in supervising and mentoring healthcare professionals preferred.
