Welcome to North Monterey County Unified School District where Together, What we do Matters! We are located along the Central Coast of beautiful Monterey County California. We serve the communities of Aromas, Castroville, Elkhorn, Moss Landing, Prunedale, Royal Oaks, and portions of Salinas. Our District provides educational programs and services for our community from infant to adult which includes our Castro Plaza Family Resource Center and Family Services Center. We also have a full offering of Career Technical Education pathways for our students and Adult Education programs for our community members and parents. Under the direction of the Director of Student and Family Services, provide quality child care and a safe and nuturing environment for infant and toddler-aged children in a designated child care center or program; assist the teacher with implementing a variety of activities to meet the needs and interests of the children. The Child Development Assistant I classification provides classroom support to a teacher in an infant and toddler-aged classroom environment. Incumbents assist with various student needs in relation to the age of the children, including assisting with basic feeding and diapering/toileting.

Six Early Childhood Education units including three units in an Infant/Toddler course and Valid Child Development Assistant permit within a designated probationary period.

• Letter of Introduction

• Letter(s) of Reference (2-3 letters of reference dated within the last two years)

• Other (Valid Child Development permit)

• Proof of HS Graduation (HS Diploma, GED or equivalent or college transcripts)

• Resume
