As a Child Care Teacher, you will:

  • Create and lead activities based on your observations of the children's interests and needs.

  • Communicate daily with parents. Document and share the important milestones in their child's day.

  • Keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required

  • AA/BA/CDA in Early Childhood Education or 12 ECE units completed: Child Development, Child Family Community and 2 curriculum courses. If applying for an Infant or Toddler position the Infant/Toddler class is required as one of the curriculum courses.

  • At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred

  • Candidates must be fully vaccinated or undergo weekly testing for COVID-19 (testing supplies and tracking provided by Bright Horizons) to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols and to keep yourself and others safe and free from illness.

This is a new unit designed to provide urgent care to cancer patients for disease and therapy related symptoms. Will require a high level triage and clinical skills, independent decision making, and care coordination with outpatient clinic, infusion room, attending physician, and hospital staff. The NP will also provide infusion room coverage for hypersensitivity reactions and treatment related patient assessment.</p><p>To provide independent advanced level nurse practitioner clinical expertise to patients and their families on an on-going basis. This includes the management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and specialty protocols (e.g. chemotherapy) as defined by standardized procedures for your specific department. This may include non-invasive or invasive procedures, surgical procedures, including operative first assist per approved standardized procedures as identified by the list available on the Medical Staff Office. Patient management decisions will be independent where appropriate after assessment of the patient and interdependent with consultation with an attending or other member of the team. NPs are expected to act as an expert resource person for health care providers including nurses, residents and other ancillary staff.</p><p>Provides direct patient care to a diversified patient population. Applies knowledge, experience and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations. Participates in patient and staff education. Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.</p><p>Occasional overtime may be required. Program requires working on holidays and weekends.
