Youll drive the mission by:

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation
  • Deliver dynamic Right At School curriculum to engage children in academic and social character building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
  • Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

Ideal Candidates will have the following:

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
  • College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field preferred
  • Ability to lift 40lbs
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.

VIEW JOBS 8/5/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-03T00:00 Alliance Cancer Specialists, the largest private practice hematology-oncology group in southeastern Pennsylvania, is seeking a part-time medical assistant for its four Delaware County locations. Responsibilities include: drawing and processing blood specimens; running CBC's through a Beckman Coutler counter; obtaining vital signs; escorting patients to exam rooms; and entering data into electronic medical record. Position requires ability to lift up to 25lbs, push wheelchairs, and carrying various items to lab and exam rooms. Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact well with patients, other lab personnel, nurses and physicians. Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Medical Assistant/Lab Technician Certification from a Vocational or Technical School. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to travel to all four offices. Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of previous job-relate experience preferred Licensure/Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant/Lab Technician and must maintain active certification. Essential Functions: Utilizes a defined skill set consistent with the basic educational program, certification, and relevant work experience to deliver direct care to the patient in the outpatient clinical setting. Working under the direct supervision/licensure of the physician, the Medical Assistant/Lab Technician is an integral member of the health care team and is responsible for coordinating the pre/intra/post aspects of the medical visit. Those include direct care, physician-patient communication, precertification when necessary, etc. In addition, will need to be able to work directly with other health care professionals at the site as well as possible ancillary departments and other services necessary to help coordinate care. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to lift (up to 25 pounds) push/pull (i.e. carts/wheelchairs), carry various items to and from rooms, sitting, standing and walking throughout the work shift. Direct Care: Provides care to the patient and support to the physician throughout the entire visit, beginning at the time of arrival at the reception desk, during the visit, and completion of the check-out process. Recognize and respond to emergencies. Clinical Operations: Uses planning and collaboration skills to maintain optimum work flow in the clinical area, including flexing assignments, cross coverage and continuous communication with peers to identify obstacles. Telephone & Communications: Serves as patient advocate professional and health coach in a team approach in health care. Serves as "communication liaison" between the physician and patient. Employ professional telephone and interpersonal techniques. Duties: Completes patient care responsibilities which may include (not an all-inclusive list): organizing patient flow, escort patients to rooms, assists as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc. completes patient history, assists with various procedures, charts, provides information to patients and families and provides patient and family with appropriate information. Completes clerical responsibilities which may include (not an all-inclusive list): answering phones, sending and receiving medical records, managing charts, obtaining lab results, scheduling appointments and verifying insurance. Manages work area and ensures that areas are managed according to established guideline. Responsibilities include (not an all-inclusive list): equipment set up and break down, cleaning exam rooms, sterilizing equipment to maintain infection control, order supplies, and restocking rooms. Must follow all HIPAA compliance requirements. Other duties as assigned. The duties listed above are not all-inclusive.
