Child Care Staff- Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center

Trinity Lutheran Child Care and Learning Center is looking to hire a passionate individuals to work in our child care center. Qualified candidates must be able to work with children from 6 weeks up to 13 years of age and willing to work a variety of shifts. Child Care Workers of the Trinity Lutheran Child Care and Learning Center are responsible to assist the Director in providing a safe facility, a nurturing environment, developmental and Christian education consistent with the mission standards of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Child Care Worker is responsible for assisting in the implementation of daily activities under the guidance of the Director or Assistant Director.

Other essential duties and responsibilities include the following;

• Observe and monitor children's play activities

• Keep records on individual children, including daily observation and information about daily activities, meals and snacks served, and medications administered

• Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits

• Read to children, and teach them simple painting, drawing, handcrafts, and songs

• Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games

• Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas

• Prepare formula

• Dress children and change diapers

• Help children with homework and school work

• Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning, dish washing, and changing of linens

• Sanitize toys and play equipment

• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self concepts

• Help children be responsible for personal articles and play area

• Correct inappropriate behavior

A high school diploma or general educational development certificate is required. Experience in child care is a must as you are required to be able to prove you have 2,500 hours of experience. Child Care clearances are also required. A Child Care Worker shall obtain an annual minimum of 6 hours of child care training.

Pay Rate: $10.00/hour
