The Child Care Aide will provide quality child care for children 2 months to 6 years old in our infant, toddler or preschool rooms. The Child Care Aides are responsible for the personal needs of the children (feeding, sleeping, diapering) and for varied children's activities such as art, story time, games, and outside play. This position also requires communication with parents andinteraction with children and co-workers. He/She will also be required to maintain a clean, safe and fun environment and comply with child care rules and regulations as designated by the supervisory staff and management. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required

  • 18 years of age or older- required

  • Experience working with children- required

  • Satisfactory Background Check- required

  • Must be ableto lift up to 40 pounds frequently throughout the day. Position requires lifting and carrying children while playing or in the Day Care- required

  • Must be ableto read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English fluently- required

  • Must be able to bend, crawl, climb, lift, kneel and crouch- required

  • Must be able to work Weekends and holidays - required

  • Must be available to work between the hours of 8:00am and 4:15pm- subject to change based on business need

  • Patient, nurturing, fun-loving individual

  • Enjoys working with children

  • Active and energetic personality to play and participate in activities with children

  • CPR and/or First Aid certifications - preferred

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available for PSIA/AASI certified instructors. Position starts in November or early/mid December 2019. The Instructor will provide quality ski/snowboard instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun manner while upholding all Colorado Skier Safety Act rules/regulations and Company guidelines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Upholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions * Clearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally * Ensuring that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level and working with supervisors/managers to make appropriate changes when necessary * Assisting guests with transportation of equipment * Assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift * Communicating instructions and helping guests to their feet during a lesson; lifting children by the vest (if applicable) * Working with guests of all ages and abilities * When working with children: supervising children in class at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of children to identified guardian * When working with children: assisting in operational responsibilities of Ski & Snowboard programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities Requirements: * High School or equivalent education * Attend Ski and Snowboard training sessions * Current PSIA/AASI Level 1, 2 or 3 certification or equivalent and able to provide proof of certification card * Prior experience working as a ski/snowboard instructor * Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and browser applications; basic internet navigation * Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written) * Must have excellent guest service skills * Must have excellent communication skills * Must work well in a team * Must successfully complete the background check * Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment * Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions * Must be available to work holidays and weekends * At Minimum, 1 Written Letter of Reference/Recommendation and a Resume Preferred Skills: * Experience working with guests of all ages * Knowledge of local area/resort * Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring children (if applicable) * Spanish language skills If you're hard working and feel exhilarated serving others, you'll feel right at home in our authentic ski town and world-class mountain resort.
