CHILD CARE ASSISTANT

QUALIFICATIONS 1. Pass the Child Abuse Record Information (C.A.R.I.) background check

(REQUIRED): and must be approved by the State of NJ

2.Complete two online childcare trainings through the state of NJ

3.Pass the Criminal History Review and submit the Sexual Misconduct /

Child Abuse Disclosure Form

QUALIFICATIONS 1. Experience in Child Care

(DESIRED): 2. CPR/First Aid Certification preferred

REPORTS TO: District Child Care Coordinator

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively participate with the children in the various scheduled activities.

• Attend any required training on evenings or weekends.

• Document any behavioral issues or concerns to be signed by the parent

• Performs other related job activities as needed/assigned to maintain efficiency

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-Month Employee

• September to June

SALARY: To be established by Board of Education

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually by the Child Care Coordinator
