POSITION TITLE: Child & Family Advocate, Greene-Hills K-8 School
DEPARTMENT: Family Resource Center
REPORTS TO: Director of Family Resource Center
SUMMARY:
The FRC Child and Family Advocate will implement support services to school age youth/families including working with students and parents. FRC Advocate completes tasks needed to ensure the successful delivery of services, such as organizing arts & crafts, fliers, bulletin boards, and updates on our FRC web and facebook pages. Advocate offers support services in the before/after school program located at the school and outreach to working parents
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures Play & Learn Group supplies area available and ready for parents and children
Ensures working parents are aware of FRC program and services and links these parents to community resources.
Assist with the implementation of family events and programming throughout the school year.
If Bilingual, assist with translation and support to non-English speaking families.
Other responsibilities as required by Site Coordinator/Program Director and or Development Director located at their school site.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma is required. Associates degree is preferred
Experience working directly with parents and school age children.
A good understanding of economic and cultural diversity issues.
Good writing and communications skills and the ability to accurately enter data in electronic software systems.

Salary: $16.00 per hour no benefits school schedule Work Hours: Part Time 20-25 hours per week, 8:30am to 1:30pm OR 9:00am to 2:00pm
