Profile

We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychologist to join our clinical faculty and serve on our clinical team. The primary role and responsibility will be in the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program, a component of UT Southwestern's role in the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC). TCHATT provides short-term telebehavioral health services to school districts to identify, assess, and provide brief treatment/referral for behavioral health needs of children and adolescents. In addition to providing direct clinical care to children and adolescents in the TCHATT program, this position will serve as part of the clinical leadership team for this initiative with responsibilities including:

  • Developing and implementing TCHATT at schools across the north Texas region;

  • Ensuring high quality clinical educational/training experience in the TCHATT program; and

  • Participating in consortium activities related to TCHATT (e.g., meetings, data reporting, etc.)

The position includes opportunities for supervision of Psychology interns, Psychiatry residents, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellows, pre- and post-doctoral trainees, and participation in the department's academic mission. Involvement in research is encouraged, and many opportunities exist for collaborative research and involvement in our APA accredited doctoral and internship programs in Clinical Psychology.

Eligible candidates must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA accredited program, have completed an APA-accredited internship, and must have or be able to obtain a Texas Psychology License. The ideal candidate's background includes direct patient care experience with assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. Highly competitive candidates will have experience in providing bilingual assessments and Spanish‐speaking candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
