Profile
We are seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for the Pediatric Consult-Liaison Services at Children's Medical Center Dallas. Consult-Liaison Services are provided to all pediatric inpatient services, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric neurology and other sub-specialty services as well as ambulatory clinics and the emergency department.
The Consult-Liaison Service provides integrated clinical services for Children's Medical Center. Children's Medical Center provides patient care including specialized treatment in areas such as heart disease, hematology-oncology and cystic fibrosis. In addition, Children's is a pediatric kidney, liver, intestine, heart, and bone marrow transplant center. This position includes supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students.
The candidate's background should include experience with psychiatric assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, including the treatment of medical patients with cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs, medical management and the ability to provide leadership and supervision to residents. Applicant must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license and be board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
