Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Strategic/Management:

  • Hands-on leader with deep knowledge of server technologies (Windows), VMWare and RDS terminal farms.

  • Establish the company's technical vision and leads all aspects of the company's technological development

  • Works in conjunction with executive team to set strategic direction for company, including growth, market development, technology and service offerings

  • Aligns business operations groups to support the long term business goals and strategies of the organization

  • Conducts research and case studies on leading edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation

  • Develop and manage detailed annual budget for each managed department

  • Reviews analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives

  • Directs and coordinates tactical activities of IT and other managed departments to further attainment of goals and objectives

  • Ensures patients, business partners, vendors and fellow employees are given the highest level of customer service treated with the utmost respect

  • Lead IT capacity planning, disaster recovery/business continuity planning and detailed infrastructure documentation

  • Acts as a good steward of Adeptus resources and ensures control of IT departmental budgets

Tactical Duties/Tasks:

  • Serves as member of executive management team, and other groups as needed

  • Supervises managers and responsible for all activities in IT department

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

  • Participates in formulating and administering company policies

  • Negotiates contracts with, and manages, consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products

  • Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance, such as HIPAA, PCI and JCAHO

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

  • Creating and implementing a strategy for the deployment of information security technologies

  • Work closely with executive team members and accounting/finance to continuously improve top-line and bottom-line numbers

  • Developing strategies to handle security incidents and trigger investigations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 10 years directly supervising staff, including hire/fire authority

  • Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents

  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

  • Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

  • Work with a variety of abstract and concrete variables

Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: * Act as chief Financial Officer and strategic business partner to senior executive leadership team * Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long term operational goals, budgets and forecasts * Provide insight and recommendations to both short term and long term growth plan of organization * Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluate departments and make suggestion for automating processes and increasing working efficiency * Communicate, engage and interact with Board of Directors, CEO, COO and Executive Leadership Team * Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion * Select and engage consultants, auditors and investors * Manage the financial and reporting systems of the organization * Recruit, interview and hire finance, accounting and payroll staff as required * Serve as a key member of executive leadership team and round table discussion panel * Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models * Interact with and bring department into line with Board of Directors plans initiatives and recommendations * Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team * Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports; monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division and weekly cash flow by division * Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations * Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and /or new service offerings * Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget * Manage financial planning and analysis department. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting * Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems; supervise company financial staff * Oversee the preparation of timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns * Oversee the month end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies * Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements * Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation * Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits * Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability * Oversee cash, investments and asset management area * Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks * Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners * Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization's plans and operating budgets * Engage finance committee and/or board of directors to develop short term and long term plans, projections and budgets * Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors and officials * Remain current on audit best practices; and state, federal and local law regarding company operations Supervisory Responsibility: Direct supervision of the controller and the indirect supervision of all employees in the accounting, finance, and revenue cycle departments. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance * CPA Required * MBA preferred * Background in Big 4 Public Accounting * 6 years minimum experience as a CFO 14+ years total accounting or finance experience * Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP and IFRS * Background coordination with I.T. staff to manage and/or upgrade accounting system. Systems implementation experience strongly preferred * Outstanding communication and presentation skills * Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence-ability to motivate staff * Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills * Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance related issues * Private company/private equity experience preferred * Experience with managing growth and turnaround opportunities First Choice Emergency Room Irving TX
