Title: Chief Technologist - Wireless Solutions

This position supports the Electronics Systems Wireless Solution Business Unit and our DoD and Intelligence Community customers in which the chosen candidate will look to help grow our core capabilities in areas such as satellite communications, electronic warfare, digital signal processing, and cellular expertise. The Wireless Solutions Chief Technologist will work effectively with senior business leadership as well as program, technical and R&D entities for developing technology solutions and strategies, and identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and interfacing with customers. This is a key role that will position Wireless Solutions for new opportunities and pursuits in order to meet our annual operating plan and strategic growth plan. The successful candidate will drive technology innovation and collaboration across Wireless Solutions, help craft new development ideas, and stay connected to other technologists (inside Harris and outside) on the advancing state of relevant technologies. Position may require up to 25% travel.
Minimum of 10-years of related experience with a B.S. Degree in Engineering;
Minimum of 8-years of related experience with a M.S. Degree in Engineering;
Experience working with Business Development, Sales, and US Government customers;
Active Top Secret Clearance.
Familiarity with current military hardware and software open architecture initiatives;
Familiarity with industry and technology trends in mobile and satellite communications;
Familiarity with Information Operations and custom device packaging for unique missions;
Knowledge of Intelligence Community CONOPS, information assurance, and network operations;
Experience working in an agile or QRC environment to solve urgent and evolving customer requirements;
Credibility in communicating technical and business aspects to the customer;
Ability to work well with customers at both technical and executive levels. This includes being able to communicate system concepts to both highly technical and non-technical customers;
Ability to develop effective working relationships with business development, program management, and customers;
Highly motivated self-starter that can operate with minimal oversight in diverse environments;
Excellent oral and written communications skills;
Ability to recommend strategies and approaches for differentiation based on market understanding;
Ability to develop a roadmap of pursuits mapped to customer needs to support strategic planning.
