Texas Oncology is looking for a Chief Radiation Therapist to join our team! This position will support the Paris, Tx location.

Responsibilities
What does the Chief Radiation Therapist do?
The Chief Radiation Therapist is responsible for the planning, coordination and evaluation of the technical staff. Interacts and directs the radiation therapists and CT simulation technicians in order to effectively deliver a high-quality radiation therapy treatment course for each patient presented. May perform the duties of radiation therapist and mold technicians up to 20% of the time in order to maintain a high-quality care environment. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

The ideal candidate for the Chief Radiation Therapist position will have the following background and experience:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have the ability to utilize components of the treatment-planning computer including but not limited to the use of keyboards, digitizers, trackball and mouse controls. Must be able to stand for 8 hours; lift 40 pound block to shoulder level; have sufficient visual acuity to distinguish structures and isodose displays on computer monitor. Additionally, must be able to align treatment field and monitor patient during radiation therapy treatment; have adequate hearing and speaking capabilities to effectively communicate with patients and staff; have adequate mobility to assist patients on and off treatment couch and document treatment.
