Overview

Centurion is proud to partner with Bernalillo County Jail, Albuquerque, New Mexico to provide excellent mental health services to patients. We are currently seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist to be the CHIEF PSYCHIATRIST.

The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care and excels at mentoring staff. As the leader of a dynamic group of Mental Health Professionals, you will be responsible for the clinical and operational management of a correctional setting. You will need to be conversant in Best Care Practices in Correctional Psychiatry and able to discuss such practices with correctional stakeholders at all levels. Duties also include clinical consultation, assessment and participation in the treatment planning for mentally ill inmates.

As the Chief Psychiatrist you will have the opportunity to present improvements in outcomes at state and national conferences. As a partner with Bernalillo County Jail, you will be valued as a member of a larger community of difference makers caring for a traditionally very under-served population.

The applicant must be familiar with Section 106 compliance requirements and knowledgeable of New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC) relating to cultural resources. Take initiative to complete tasks efficiently, on time, and within budget. Must be responsible for problem solving, addressing issues, and communicating with Program Manager and/or Principal Investigator as appropriate. Ensure the information from the field is of high standards to produce a quality and accurate report. Must have excellent writing skills. Ensure a safe work environment and adheres to city, state and federal laws, guidelines, policies and procedures as well as guidelines and EEO/affirmative action policies. This position is under general supervision of the Program Manager.Travel is an essential aspect of this position with the expectation of extended time in the field. Physical ability to conduct extensive fieldwork in extreme weather. Responsibilities * Conduct archival searches, surveys, monitoring, testing, and data recovery activities. * Author and/or contribute to reports. Provide QA/QC review of field methods. * Instruct field personnel on methods of inventory and provide verbal and written instructions as needed. * Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines. * Experience with GPS devices with knowledge of GIS software and land surveying equipment. * Remain current on historic/prehistoric research in the region. * Remain current with educational and permitting requirements. * Interface with clients, including attending project team or scoping meetings as needed. Able to effectively discuss all aspects of a cultural resource project including regulatory requirements, methodology, findings, research questions, and results etc. to non-specialist clients and the public. Qualifications * Must have a bachelor's degree in in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field. A graduate degree is preferred. * At least five years of experience in fieldwork (much in New Mexico) and report completion. * At least two years of experience supervising crew members. * Experience conducting and supervising archaeological fieldwork and managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting budget and deadlines. * Familiarity with fieldwork, report guidelines, and standard forms of New Mexico Historic Preservation Division and other land management agencies in New Mexico and Southwest. * Must be permitted for State of New Mexico (currently listed on the SHPO directory). * Must hold or be able to obtain other permits including BIA, National Forests, BLM areas, and Navajo Nation as a field supervisor.
