Description

Principal Accountabilities:

1.Company-wide Leadership

  • Contributes to the development and execution of the Company's strategic and operational objectives, ensuring understanding and accountability for goals and impact of goals on people.
  • Missional Focus: Grasps and personally embraces the vision and mission of the Company and is able to articulate and inspire others toward the accomplishment of that mission.

  • Executive Leadership: Serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, working collaboratively to determine short-, medium-, and long-term goals and establish annual/quarterly strategic priorities.

  • Organizational Leverage: Ensures full utilization of gifts and talents of the Company's directors, managers, professionals, and other team members, delegating appropriately and leveraging effectively to foster competency, growth, and a sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Change Management: Develops and effectively implements change management initiatives supporting Company objectives that maximize enterprise-wide adoption/implementation.

  • Communication: Facilitates effective communication organization-wide to ensure understanding of Blue Trust's goals, objectives, strategic direction, etc.

  • Performance Metrics and Profit Planning: Develops and monitors progress toward key corporate performance metrics and, in collaboration with the Director of Finance, ensures development and implementation of the Company-wide annual profit plan, monitoring and communicating progress on a regular basis.

  • Leadership Team Engagement: Facilitates effective communication among all members of Blue Trust leadership to enhance company-wide teamwork, understanding, and ownership of results.

  • Biblical Role-Modeling: Actively exhibits unremitting integrity and strong moral character in day-to-day behavior while modeling the company's Core Values in their daily interactions with clients and coworkers.

  • Evidences a personal life characterized by intentionality, growth, maturity, and balance.

  • Understands the financial planning philosophy and biblical principles upon which Blue Trust

serves its client base and understands and applies the Blue Trust principles in personal life.

  • Demonstrates maturity in interpersonal interactions; is open, adaptable, and models effective

2.Team Leadership

  • Sincerely values people and applies the principles embodied in the Company's Core Values and Management Language to lead team members in a manner that respects and values each individual rather than implementing a top-down, authoritative leadership style.
  • Drives effective utilization of the Company's Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
  • Leads, Manages, and holds team members Accountable.
  • Utilizes the Vision/Traction Organizer to reinforce Vision and maintain strategic focus.

  • Maintains corporate Scorecard to monitor forward-looking metrics/measurables.

  • Maintains current Accountability Chart (AC) and leverages the AC to drive agreement across teams.

  • Conducts regular "Level 10" team meetings.

  • Conducts Quarterly Conversations (6-5-5 meetings) with each direct report.

  • Effectively stewards the unique strengths and areas of giftedness of each member of the team.

  • Practices the art of leadership, building and nurturing a healthy, productive, continuous learning work culture.

  • Supports team to achieve professional/personal growth providing direction and accountability through the process.

  • Proactively develops future leaders to ensure seamless transition to next generation of leadership.

3.Operational Leadership

  • Leads company-wide operational strategy and establishes operational platform and processes to ensure delivery of Blue Trust services in a manner that is responsive to client needs, consistent with Blue Trust's mission, vision, and biblical standards, and meets Company's strategic and financial objectives.
  • Collaboration: Initiates collaboration with leaders of the Company's various divisions to ensure operational priorities are aligned with organizational needs and coordinated with enterprise-level objectives

  • Capacity: Strives to build organizational capacity by supporting efforts to create and seize business development opportunities, maintaining a healthy commitment to results.

  • Technological Leverage: Ensures the Company's technology platform supports the needs of advisory teams and divisions and remains current with technological trends within the Company's industry.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Works closely with the Company's Chief Compliance Officer to ensure operational systems and processes support and comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Process Improvement and Implementation: Continually assesses opportunities for process improvement and ensures timely implementation of process improvement initiatives.

  • Product Offerings: Consults with National Office departments and other Company divisions regarding existing and expanded product offerings, incorporating feedback from advisor team members via established channels.

  • Training and Development: Develops and participates in ongoing training programs to meet personnel needs.

  • Performance: Maintains performance standards and evaluates performance, taking corrective action when needed.

4.Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Approaches work, interactions, and relationships in a manner consistent with the Company's Core Values.

  • Manages projects and interacts with others in a manner that is consistent with Company's Management Language, leadership principles and values.

  • Understands and supports the counsel and biblical basis upon which Blue Trust serves its client base.

  • Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the Company's Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the company.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be an experienced leader and executive with strong strategic planning and technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.

  • The individual must also be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and exhibit competence in the following skill areas: use of language, persuasive communication, business mathematical skills, and effective reasoning skills.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree and ten to fifteen (10-15) years' related experience and/or training is required; equivalent combination of education and experience could be acceptable.

  • Experience/familiarity with the Company's operational platform systems and partners (preferred), including:

  • Traction/EOS

  • Fidelity / Schwab (custodians)

  • MS Azure (Cloud)

  • Orion Advisor Services

  • MS Dynamics

  • Salesforce

  • eMoney

  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational change on an enterprise-wide level
