Our client, a leading provider of In-flight dining services for executive clients, is actively searching for a Chief Operations Officer (COO). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering and logistics, with a proven track record of strategic leadership in a fast-paced environment. The COO will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the company, addressing challenges proactively, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to all aspects of operations, including catering production, logistics, quality control, and customer service.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to streamline processes and maximize productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive performance optimization.
2.Catering and Culinary Excellence:
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality meals that exceed customer expectations.
- Oversee menu development, food sourcing, and production processes to maintain excellence in culinary offerings.
- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
3.Logistics Management:
- Manage logistics and supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of catering services to executive flights across the country.
- Optimize transportation routes, inventory management, and warehousing processes to minimize costs and enhance efficiency.
- Partner with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and maintain quality standards.
4.Financial Management:
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to track performance against targets and drive informed decision-making.
5.Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and excellence.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to empower team members and drive organizational success.
- Promote a strong commitment to customer service excellence and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in catering, hospitality, or related industries, with a focus on operations management.
- Proven track record of success in driving operational excellence, managing complex logistics, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, analyzing financial performance, and driving profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate future trends, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably with a company generating $25M or more in annual revenue.
- Willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours to support operational requirements.
