AskNicely, the award winning customer experience platform, is used by 1,000+ service businesses to motivate and inspire their front line teams to do their best work for every customer. We're a venture backed SaaS startup that, in just over four years, has grown to 70+ people across offices in Portland, Oregon and Auckland, New Zealand with a European location coming soon.
In the new world where the brands that deliver the best experiences win, we're pioneering a new category of software to help businesses deliver amazing customer experiences. We've raised a big chunk of venture money, built an A-class leadership team and we're delivering on a product vision that will knock the socks off our competitors.
This requires a particular set of skills to partner with the CEO to scale the business through the next growth phases.
You'll lead the corporate functions and support the functional heads (product, marketing, sales, success) to add resource, build capability, drive performance and enable faster, smarter commercial decisions to drive best in class SaaS metrics and, ultimately, establish category leadership.
The mantra for this role is "how can I help you go faster?". We're looking for a force multiplier that can connect the dots, see around corners, juggle multiple projects, break through obstacles and lay the tracks sufficiently ahead of the train to accelerate growth. In a given day, you might be defining a new pricing structure, building OKR's, raising capital, designing a sales compensation framework or opening an office on a new continent (we've been working on all of these over the last month).
Build a strong performance culture, fueled by feedback, with robust performance management disciplines that link daily/weekly/monthly KPI execution to quarterly OKR's and the annual plan

Lot's of people ask about the culture at AskNicely. There are three non-negotiables to what we call "living in the purple":
Be NICE: We believe great business can be built by nice people that are nice to each other.
Play to WIN: Bring your A game. We have high standards but favor speed over perfection.

Portland is well known for its spectacular dining, live music, arts and culture while boasting an unparalleled lifestyle against a stunning natural backdrop where you can snowboard in the morning and surf in the afternoon on the same day.
The core essence of AskNicely is "appreciation". It's what we stand for and a principle to guide what we do each day. We appreciate different backgrounds, different contributions, different points of view and, most importantly, each other. It's how we win, together. We check our egos at the door and approach our work with curiosity, because we don't have all the answers and we learn fastest together, celebrating our wins along the way.
You're awesome. We're hiring.
We don't normally brag, but here's some feedback that we're quite proud about..
