Reporting to the Executive Vice President Networking & Processors Group the Chief of Staff will be responsible for coordinating, managing and streamlining essential activities of the business (includes eight divisions) helping to ensure business processes and functions operate at maximum productivity.
Prepare quarterly reports including: forecast preparation, business unit sales mapping, earnings release, market & competitive analysis reviews, WIP status, plan of record review, portfolio review, annual operating plan, cost savings review and prep for all hands meetings.
Help facilitate and drive processes, strategic decisions. operational excellence, resource management and planning. Lead special projects such as driving the internal chief technology forum activities, team improvement initiates including succession planning within the business units, key talent identification & development, management training & coaching and head count review.
As the Executive Vice President of the Networking & Processors Group also serves in the dual capacity of Chief Strategy Officer for the company will provide support in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, business and technology roadmaps and joint ventures. Work to provide vetted and streamlined information to strategy creators and facilitate communication between teams, team members and stakeholders.
Drive staff meeting agenda ensure topics are known in advance keep agenda flowing, provide updates and analysis from previous meetings and drive a consistent and streamlined information flow.
Ensure smooth and consistent communication between functions within the business as well as with corporate executives. Anticipate needs and provide the highest levels of proactive support to the business.
Responsible for communication of key initiatives across various functions of the business. Help coordinate and improve business wide processes and procedures so maximum clarity can be achieved regarding the systematic tracking, measuring and analysis of performance against plans.
Drive the data collection, mining and measurement process keep it organized and on track always striving for continuous process improvement.
Organize and coordinate staff functions and activities, ensure a consistent review process, prepare budgets, prepare updates and business reviews for executive leaders across the business.
Actively monitor key performance metrics from the divisions manage dashboard tools to enable tracking of sales forecasts, product development schedules, staffing & hiring etc. Disseminate and communicate business intelligence information helping ensure long term strategic and business goals are being met.
Ensure staff issues are addressed properly and efficiently, judiciously track progress until resolved.
Attend weekly and quarterly meetings and functions that EVP is not able to attend prepare follow-up reports and analysis.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess 10-15 years' experience in a high tech business environment with semiconductor industry experience required. Previous experience in a senior level staff capacity or executive level functional management roles.
Must have experience and exposure of being part of managing large complex businesses understand the dynamics of running a P & L at a senior executive/general management level. Possess a "big picture" aptitude and perspective.
This position requires an undergraduate or graduate technical degree from a respected university with an MBA preferred.
Ability to analyze and compile large swaths of data and present concise and effective reports.
Demonstrated success in a company which is respected for marketing, operational and technical excellence, innovation, quality of product, quality of management and financial performance.
Experienced with project coordination and management.
