As a leader and part of our global People Team, you will play a key role in driving transformation and innovation in our People organization. You will be part of a team of fun, innovative, and passionate people tasked with rolling out our new People strategy, transforming HR and supporting PTC's SaaS journey.

We are looking for a proactive, strategic, and detail-oriented Chief of Staff (CoS) with a track record of helping to build high performing organizations within the technology space. This position will report to the Chief People Officer (CPO/CHRO) of PTC, a proven thought leader in the industry, who has been tasked with creating a new People Strategy to support the company's transformational journey to SaaS.

The CoS will have the opportunity to work on transformational projects to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and strategic position of the People Team. The successful candidate will be dynamic, flexible, and a forward-thinking leader with an exceptional work ethic and a passion for driving value for the business. The CoS ensures the strategic execution of the People Team priorities, and is responsible for performance, while acting as an advisor to the CPO and her Leadership Team. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, communicate and land change through influence and collaboration - across the company.

Day-To-Day:

  • Cross-collaboration and Leadership: Drive high impact work. This includes oversight, management and coordination of activities related to digital HR, and process initiatives that help drive our new People Strategy.

  • Communication Crafting: Create organizational communication internally and externally in support of the CPO.

  • Organizational and Business Management: Drive the People Leadership Team with monthly and quarterly prioritization, while collaborating with the leadership team and internal partners to meet cadence and objectives.

  • Financial Management: Lead budget planning, forecasting and fiscal planning process for the team in partnership with Finance.

  • Special Programs/Projects: Support and participate in strategic initiatives or cross-group complex projects contributing to the overall organizational strategy.

    Plan, lead, and facilitate Leadership and team offsite events ensuring materials are sent in advance, time is well spent, and objectives are achieved. Monitor and strengthen our business policies, audit and improve our capacity for operating our business effectively. Create and implement accurate plans and develop success metrics and communication approach for these initiatives/projects.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Communication Champion: Ability to build trust, influence and relationships with diverse team members at all levels in a matrix.

    Ability to leverage relationships to accelerate delivery, and to use these skills to facilitate connections with stakeholders across the organization. Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communications skills, including expertise building out comprehensive and compelling presentation and communication materials that span functions and groups.

  • Project Driver: Project Management skills and ability to lead multiple high-profile projects of varying timelines simultaneously across a distributed set of stakeholders without direct ownership of resources.

    Strong ability to prioritize work and maintain good judgment in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to synthesize data and insights, to align next steps from a large amount of (sometimes conflicting) data.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proactive Thinking: Demonstrated ability to manage a high degree of complexity and to distill information, able to think both strategically at a global level as well as effectively operationally.

    Experience developing key global processes and distributing information across multiple channels and mediums. Preference for experience in strategic planning and HR.

  • Collaboration and Partnership Expert: Exceptional cross-organization collaboration-building skills, including ability to partner with teams with multiple different priorities.

  • Culture Cultivator: Passion to foster an inclusive and diverse culture through initiatives, training & education, communications, and implementing optimizations based on high-level goals.

  • Previous experience: working for SaaS companies and organizations that have gone thru transformations, most applicably in HR and beyond.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' experience in leading/managing global operations and large-scale projects in a distributed organization

  • Extensive experience in HR within one or more complex companies

The CFO will play a key role in assessing, planning, and managing the capacity required to meet the organization’s overall goals while ensuring timely, accurate and efficient financial management of the organization.<br></p> <p>Principal responsibilities consist of overseeing all accounting and reporting functions including those necessary for auditing, budgeting, financial analysis, capital asset and payroll in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.</p> <p>This individual will set the operating vision and direction for short- and long-term budgeting, analysis and forecasting in strategic alignment with the Executive Leadership Team. The CFO must balance a strong vision for the finance team with a hands-on approach to managing the accounting, reporting and financial operations of a fast-moving organization.</p> <p><strong>Accounting, Reporting, Compliance and Internal Control</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assess, develop, and implement effective and efficient financial systems and processes in accordance with GAAP to ensure effective internal control, accurate and timely financial reporting, and efficient operations</li> <li>Provide critical financial information to the senior leadership and Finance and Audit committees of the Board around issues and trends </li> <li>Oversee and manage the annual financial audit.
