Position Summary
The Chief of Staff, Principal plays a key role in managing the Office to the Senior Vice President (SVP) for IT Products & Enterprise Platforms (P&EP). The overarching role is to work under the guidance of the SVP to support and facilitate the success of the overall P&EP organization. This highly visible position will be responsible for organizational performance administration as well as management/coordination of other projects.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland General Office (OGO). This will require the role to be onsite in the Oakland General Office 1-2 days/week and as needed.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $136,000
Bay Area Maximum: $232,000
Job Responsibilities
Working closely with the Senior Vice President, VP's and Sr. Directors, this role will be involved in numerous tasks and projects. Responsibilities include:
Coordinate all aspects of Daily Operating Reviews (DOR), Weekly Operating Reviews (WOR) at the Delivery Center, Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR), Special Topic and Problem Solving meetings
Develop and coordinate weekly content (slides, metrics, project updates) for the WOR/Delivery Center
Act as proxy, delegate or point of contact for various deliverables for the Office of the CIO (OCIO), CIO Chief of Staff and Enterprise. Some deliverables include:
L1 POP
L2 POP
TNS Change Management Updates (working with project teams and Enterprise Change Management)
BPD
Lean Maturity
Resource Planning
Accomplishments
Manage P&EP Headcount governance and approval process working with IT Headcount Process, conduct weekly reporting, approve OCR's as a delegate to the SVP, work with OCIO and recruiting on aging requisitions
Financial Management: Collaborates with various managers and leaders to develop and review budgetary requirements and support the achievement of strategic goals and objectives.
Direct/develop departmental time architecture working with the Officer Team, Senior Director/Director Team
Act as a liaison for the SVP, IT PE&P with internal and external organizations for enterprise-wide activities
Provide support to the SVP by preparing internal and external communications, including correspondences, reports, agendas, and presentations
Coordinate Lean Operating practices throughout the department and in collaboration across the enterprise
Manage and coordinate P&EP All Co-Worker Calls / Meetings
Provide leadership and direction for cross-functional activities that span multiple organizations
Composes, designs, and prepares various correspondence, presentations, communications, reports, documents, and other materials
Researches, analyzes, and responds to various inquiries and issues and develops recommendations to support decision making actions
Follow up with IT Leadership on many of the items,
May lead or participate special projects and initiatives, including ones related to technology
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Experience in business, job-related, 8 years
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and (Technical) Competencies
Knowledge and understanding of strategic planning, business management, and leadership models, tools, theories, and concepts
Knowledge and understanding of financial statements, analysis, and reporting including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
