Serves the President and CEO as an advisor and support in all matters concerning the priorities and strategic goals of the Hospital. Responsible for setting and balancing agendas, supporting management#s strategies throughout the Hospital, being sensitive to multiple constituencies including senior executives, Chiefs of Service, and members of the Board of Directors.
Acts as a liaison between the CEO and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to community partners, elected officials and their staff, and advocacy organizations such as Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association and others.# Serves as resource for information to the CEO and senior executives, using insight and judgment to alert them to issues which may need their attention. Facilitates information flow between Board members, senior executives, Chiefs of Service and the CEO. Serves as the interface with committees and their staff as requested by the CEO. #This role requires sophisticated, independent judgment based on awareness of and sensitivity to the issues with which the CEO and senior executives are involved.
The position requires anticipation of critical situations and issues in advance of their surfacing as well as preparation for their impact and response to them.
This position requires exceptional judgment, discretion and tact. Must be cognizant of the hospital mission, strategy, and operations. This position also requires strong project management skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.

Develops and manages Administration#s operating budget. Develops processes for operational and administrative effectiveness.

Acts as a liaison between the Chief Executive Officer and Hospital Staff, Medical Staff, Trustees and the public by accurately communicating information or problems, or directly solving problems, assisting or referring to the proper resources, and reporting back to the Chief Executive Officer when appropriate.
Monitors and manages the Hospital#s goals and strategic projects. Assists CEO with the management of priorities and commitments. Aids and assists in assessing operational risks as well as growth opportunities. Takes on special projects as directed by the CEO.# Oversees work schedules for assistants who support executive staff to assure appropriate office coverage.# Leads team meetings to assure consistency and support within the executive support roles.# Performs other duties as assigned by the CEO.
