About the Role

The Partner Strategy and Business Development team in the Global Partner Organization (GPO) leads strategy, planning and business development for the partner business at Workday. We define and execute our strategy with leaders across the business; lead strategic partner relationships; and deliver sizable, net-new revenue growth with partners.

We are looking to hire a Chief of Staff for GPO. Working closely with the SVP of Global Partners, the Global Head of Partner Strategy and BD, and the People & Purpose Business Partner for GPO, the Chief of Staff will organize and implement the transformation of the GPO business. We are looking for a seasoned leader with experience in facilitating transformational change in complex and fast moving technology companies, with the ability to deliver consistent and exceptional business results over the long term. The right candidate will have proven experience as a successful change leader. They will be able to lead through ambiguity and complexity. They will earn trust, have bias for action, show high integrity and judgment, and deliver outcomes for GPO and the Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Team Operations and Planning:

  • Lead the cross-functional GPO Strategy Front Office agenda and meetings

  • Organize and facilitate performance cadence of meetings and business inspections for the GPO Leadership Team

  • Design and facilitate executive reporting on business performance

  • Serve as the liaison for critical Corporate Functions including People & Purpose (HR), Talent Acquisition, Sales, Customer Success, Presales, Finance, Corporate Strategy and the co-CEO offices.

  • Drive and own adoption and execution of GPO's Objective Key Results

  • Internal Communications and Coordination:

  • Working with our internal communications team, inspire change through effective communications across GPO Leadership Team, All Teams, Office Hours, and other meetings, in coordination with our Comms and Enablement teams

  • Special Initiatives and Strategy Projects:

  • Lead key growth and transformation initiatives with the Global Head of Partner Strategy and BD, and the People & Purpose Business Partner for GPO.

  • Trusted Advisor

  • Act as trusted advisor to the SVP of Global Partners and the GPO Leadership Team

  • Proactively identify areas of resistance, improvement and barriers to success for the transformation and proactively mitigate roadblocks

  • Serve as a representative for the SVP of Global Partners meetings where it is appropriate

  • Advise on confidential matters and maintain a high level of discretion and integrity.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience leading strategic, change management initiatives at a Software as a Service or Public Cloud company

  • 4+ years experience building and leading high-performing and global teams, either in a direct or indirect/matrixed reporting model

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience as a Chief of Staff at a SaaS or Public Cloud company

  • Experience as a Strategy Leader or Management Consultant

  • MBA, with a focus on Strategy

  • Graduate or undergraduate degree, or equivalent in Computer Science / Engineering, Economics or Finance

  • Experience in global roles across US, EMEA and APJ markets

  • Strong executive presence, facilitation and communications skills

  • Ability to simplify and ruthlessly prioritize their own work and that of the team

  • Ability to frame, structure and implement large and complex change initiatives

  • Committed to building a diverse, inclusive and impactful culture

  • Ability to drive collaboration, resolve conflict and solve complex business problems

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $195,200 USD - $292,800 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $159,900 USD - $292,800 USD
