About the Role

The Chief of Staff is Blank Street's swiss army knife. I am looking for someone equal parts Left Brain: you can build clear & actionable decks, analyze data sets, plan and run our annual/quarterly meetings, and Right Brain: you can easily context switch into delivering thoughtful feedback on store design OR product tasting panels, assess the latest F&B social trends, and jump behind bar when needed. This position will offer you a unique opportunity to make an impact across our brand and play a critical role in our senior leadership team. This role is fully in-person at the Brooklyn HQ office and reports to the CEO.

What You'll Own:

• CEO Double

• Assist in putting together all key communication documents & memos from All-Hands Meeting slides, to Quarterly/Annual Planning slides and memos, and Board Meeting slides.

• Simplify & streamline decision-making across teams.

• Join every meeting, take meetings on my behalf, and ensure clear follow-ups.

• Parachute Consultant

• Consider and synthesize the needs of the whole org.

• Parachute across our different teams to support on research, planning, creative brainstorming when needed.

• Develop and implement systems to improve workflows & time management for the leadership team and CEO.

• Integrator

• Project manage our key planning & strategy meetings (leadership meetings, quarterly/annual planning, boad meetings).

• Facilitate clear and effective communication across the leadership team ensuring no one is working in silos & priorities are aligned.

• Keep the leadership team focused on their priorities and track deliverables.

• Manage & train our team on organizational tools such as Notion & Google Drive ensuring all teams are aligned, wikis are up to date.

• Culture Carrier & Confidant

• Build deep trust & relationships with team members across the whole org, acting as trusted advisor to our team.

• Champion our culture, have fun.

Who You Are:

• Previously at a high-growth company. F&B, consumer products, retail experience is a plus.

• 3+ years of operational experience in consulting/finance/startup

• MBA preferred but not required

• Other Notes

• Even if you have not worked in the industry, you have a strong appreciation for consumer products, F&B, hospitality.

• You have to be very versatile to do well in this role. There will be constant context switching!

Benefits:

• $125,000 - $175,000 annual base salary

• Blank Street, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Our salaries are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package. Additional components include equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off and various work perks (commuter benefits, free coffee). Details will be discussed during the interview process. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future.
