As a member of our Project Execution team, you'll draw on your strengths managing people and processes to manage technology projects that typically span multiple lines of business and have firm-wide implications. You'll lead these projects from initiation through implementation, including: establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines; ensuring that relevant risk and architecture requirements are in place; and managing the project budget and resources.
In addition to collaborating with your teammates, you'll communicate with stakeholders across the firm to work toward the best possible outcomes. While this role is rooted in project management, it's a terrific opportunity to develop your leadership skills and make lasting connections throughout JPMorgan Chase & Co.
This position is part of the Corporate Technology Finance Technology team, specifically supporting efforts across our delivery programs, and various other Corporate Technology Finance Technology initiatives. The Project Strategy Associate will operate within the initiatives and support the Finance Technology Leads in driving the overall vision.
This individual will support the team lead, and have the ability to provide insightful analytic output on a wide range of issues impacting the delivery programs and various other strategic priorities. Some responsibilities include: Developing strategies to deliver and execute on organizational goals and priorities; Synthesizing complex and/or diverse information to "tell a story" in a digestible manner that brings attention to the key details; Using intuition and experience to complement data; Creating strategically timed & targeted communications to help drive awareness and engagement of priorities and accomplishments at all levels; Converting detailed analysis into crisp presentations on recommendations / improvement strategies for leadership review and decision making.
This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Proficiency in one or more business disciplines or functions
Experience project managing multiple projects
Knowledge of global and line of business project management standards and methods
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Minimum five years of combined business, project management, team leadership and IT experience required. Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries is essential
Experience with or aptitude to learn about budgeting/financial projects; highly analytical mindset needed
Knowledge or experience of CMM and Six Sigma Methodologies and Standards as well as experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Project Workbench, PMI, etc. is mandatory
Preferred qualifications include: Project management certifications; Experience outsourcing methodologies and operating models, and working with professional services firms; Prior experience in program management, business management or strategy (top consultant experience A-plus)
